Meet Colten

Shortly before Christmas in 2009, Charles Keller met a very special 3-year-old boy named Colten Cowell at his home in Chandler, Arizona. When Charles instinctively tossed the Batmobile key to Colten’s dad, it became the genesis of many magical moments shared by parents, children, and entire families, too.

Colten inspired Charles to focus on giving back to their community, and, acting in concert with Colten’s parents, they created the Colten Cowell Foundation in his name. The Cowell family remain an integral part of the foundation as board members and volunteers.

Now having gone well past a mere Batmobile, Charles' brain is always coming up with new ways to build on what has become his mission to brighten lives using faux crime fighting at its’ finest.  Batmobile, check.  Crime Fighting Cave, check.  Crime Fighting Cycle, check.  And the list goes one.  Heck, he’s even invested in a helicopter that does not fly.  Want to see what has been his latest nut job idea brought to life?  Read on….

Riddle Me This

Q: Where is the cave?

A: We can’t tell you! Per national security directive # X-842(b), the location is a deeply held secret. It would be a violation of federal law for us to reveal details of this highly classified facility. Just like Area 51, it does not exist … officially. OK, OK, it’s in the greater Phoenix AZ area…but keep that to yourself!

Q: How fast is the Batmobile?

A: Well, let’s put it this way: it’s the world’s only nuclear-powered car. The pink slip for Doc Brown’s DeLorean hangs proudly on our bulletin board.

Q: How can you participate in the Crime Fighting Cave experience?

A: The family must be nominated by an affiliated charity.
